Why Basswood Interior Shutters?
Strongest, lightest material (Basswood) has a greater strength-to-weight ratio in it’s natural form than any other shutter material ever developed.
Greater strength enables more custom shapes including longer louvers and extensions not possible with plastic or lesser materials.
Classic Paint Range
Classic paint shutters are manufactured out of solid basswood, kiln dried to a low moisture content to alleviate almost all shrinkage and twist, with all joints mortised and tenoned.
Shutter Design
Our shutters are made in the traditional style, using a tilt rod to open and close the blades. Available in five differed block sizes: 32mm, 47mm, 64mm, 89mm and 115mm.
This range is available in ten colour options and also in Dulux trade colours.
Classic Stain Range
Our classic stain shutters are manufactured from solid Basswood with all joints mortised and tenoned, kiln dried to obtain a low moisture content making a stable timber even more robust.
Available in sizes 47mm, 64mm, 89mm and 114mm
Solid panel options also available

Plantation Shutter Styles and Shapes
Onigle plantation shutters come in a choice of designs
to complement virtually any type of window and style
of room. All of our shutters are custom made and
come in a variety of different styles as shown.
Full Height Plantation Shutters
These are full height single shutter panels with a strengthening divider rail at the mid point when the
height is greater than 44 inches thus allowing independent movement of the slots.
Cafe Style Plantation Shutters
These are shutter panels that cover the bottom section
of the window only, allowing light and privacy simultaneously.
